To any Judge of the County or District Court, Ordained Minister of the Gospel, or Justice of the Peace in and for said County Greetings:
You are hereby authorized to solemnize the Rites of Matrimony between J.S. Cude, and M.R. Dunn, and make due return to the Clerk of the County Court of said County, within sixty days thereafter, certifying your action under the License.

Witness my Official Signature and Seal of Office, at office in Lockhart, this 30th Day of April A.D. 1881.

Notes: This is a special find. We have been so fortunate in finding all the marriage licenses we have found. This is extra special. It is for John Seaborn Cude and Mandy R. (Amanda R.) Dunn for May 2, 1881. We did not know the date but knew it was in 1881. This was the year her mother, Cynthia Ann Yarbrough Dunn died.
