Here's a picture of Mom's headstone.  It says June 16, 1976 as her death date.  I'm going to check with Memorial Park Gardens in Victoria tomorrow -- see what their records show.

I talked to the Colonial Funeral Home in Victoria, TX today.  Interesting .... she saw something in their notes that had June 15th crossed out and June 16th hand-written.  Somebody must have been having one of those days - LOL.  So, indeed ... Mom died on Wednesday, June 16, 1976 and not June 15th, as her certificate of death shows.  The burial happened on Thursday, June 17th.

And I got it straight about the time of death, too -- she told me that the time of death written on those papers is when the undertaker picked up the body.  Now that seems odd to me.  Mom -- as I remember it (which is imperfect) -- died around 1:20 a.m.  The LVN on duty at the hospital signed over her body at 2:40 A.M.
