Tommy Hindes, 97, of Charlotte, TX, passed away Friday, August 1, 2003 in Pleasanton, TX. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Madelyn Cook of George West; grandchildren, Cheryl Munke and husband Doug, Clara Cook, Cynthia McCain and husband Allen. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Amanda and Melissa McCain and Jennifer Munke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nora Kuykendall; brothers and sisters, Charles Kuykendall, T.R. Kuykendall, Jr., Robert Kuykendall, Madlyn Kuykendall, Mary Willie May, Grace Graham and Maxine Snowden. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 3, 2003. The Funeral Service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 4, 2003. Interment will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden. Hurley Funeral Home.

Tommy Hindes, 97, of Charlotte, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Pleasanton.
Mrs. Hindes taught school in various school districts since 1924, spending the last 31 years in the Charlotte School District. She was active in ranching in McMullen and Atascosa counties. Mrs. Hindes was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the First Baptist Church of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nora Kuykendall; brothers Charles Kuykendall, T.R. Kuykendall Jr., Robert Kuykendall; and sisters Madlyn Kuykendall, Mary Willie May, Grace Graham and Maxine Snowden.
Survivors include a daughter, Lou Madelyn Cook of George West; three grandchildren, Cheryl (Doug) Munke, Clara Cook and Cynthia (Allen) McCain; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda and Melissa McCain and Jennifer Munke.
Visitation was held Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, Pleasanton.
