Atwell Davidson

Military graveside services for Atwell Davidson, 83, of Duncan, Okla.. formerly of Sulpher Springs, will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 28, at Restlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Hopkins County Military
Coalition, with Noel Bailey officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:pm to 8 pm Thursday, March 27, at Murray-Orwasky Funeral Home.

Mr. Davidson died at 5:40 pm Tuesday, March 25, at his residence.

He was born on May 25, 1919, in the Nelta Community to Jim and Matilda Polk Davidson.  He married Hazel Mozelle Eppers on November 8, 1941, in Dike.  She preceeded him in death in 1992.

Mr. Davidson was retired from A. P. Green where he was employed as a fork lift operator.  He was a member of South Side Church of Chirst.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include one daughter; Diane Gann of Duncan, Okla: five sisters, Juanita Wilson of Lufkin, Cherry Wells of Sulpher Springs, Jimmie Woods of Lubbock, Charlene Bentle of Plano, and Wanda Morris of Talco; four brothers Horace Davidson and Bill Davidson both of Lubbock, Paul Davidson of Vaucaville, Calif..., and George Davidson of Houston; three grandchildren, Renee Wood, Misty Rasmussen, and Clint Gann; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Davidson was also proceeded in death by two sisters, Sue Briggs and Fannie Bell; and two infant brothers.
