MENA Arkansas - Juanita Callison, 87, of Mena died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in Mena. She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Dayton, Texas. She was a self-employed beautician. She worked in a defense factory during World War II, was a bookkeeper for Zales Corp., she was active in the Cockrell Hill Baptist Church in Dallas where she was music and church librarian and a Democratic precinct chairman. She was the widow of Guy Callison Jr.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by a daughter, Nita Bishop of Mena; a sister, Eileen Koonce of Georgetown, Texas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association or the Building Fund of Grace Bible Church in Mena.

Callison, and he was born on March 14, 1917 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas and died on August 10, 1976 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. Guy was buried August 12, 1976 in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
