"Isabella aged 30 years arrived in Melbourne on the ship the Mimmie Dike on 21st January 1855, The ship left Dundee on the 30th September 1854 taking 4 months to arrive in Melbourne. With her were 2 of her children James age 7 years and George a 10 month old infant, Also on board were her relatives Alexander Ireland (Teacher) age 21 years and his sister Ann Ireland (Teacher) age 25 years both born at Ferry Port on Craig ( |Parents John Ireland Light House Keeper at Ferry Port on Craig and Helen Gibson). Her husband James's cousin John Black was also on board. Husband James did not travel with his family he arrived earlier."
