e-mail to Fife list
John BERRIE, Illegitimate, single died 18th September 1885, ?h35m AM st SCHOOL WYND, Ferry Port on Craig - age looks like 9 months Mother: Mary BERRIE, Weaver in Linen Factory Cause of death was Bronchitis as cert by Thomas A. F. HOOD (HERD?) Informant was his Mother Mary BERRIE (present) I am wondering if this Mary BERRIE was the daughter of Archibald BERRIE and Margaret YOUNG and if she (MARY) and her sister are the ladies who appear in the 1881 census at Forfar, Liff and Benvie, 64 Blackness Road???? What makes me think this is that another sister Margaret married William PATTIE who are shown at School Wynd in 1881 census, explaining why maybe the child JOHN died at School Wynd?
