Charles H.and Sena A.(ENOS) MAXSON, was born
- in De Ruyter, N.Y., Sept. 6, 1852;
fitted for college at De Ruyter Institute. Prof. of Lat. in Milton
Coll., Wis., '77-'79; Prof. of Eng. and Math., Markham Acad.,
Milwaukee, Wis., '79-'83; Prof. of Hist. and Polit. Econ., Normal
School, Whitewater, Wis., '83-'88, spending a portion of each
year as conductor of teachers' institutes; studied theology,
and ord. Unitar., Menomonie, Wis., April 14, 1888; s.s., Menomonie
and Eau Claire, until his death from apoplexy at Eau Claire,
Wis., Nov. 23, 1891. Author of "A Study of Religions,"
the first year of a six years' course of Sunday School lessons.
M.A., Amherst, 1880. Married, Sept. 5, 1877, Ada A., dau. of
D. Deloss WELLS of Cazenovia, N.Y. Two children. [Alumnus
