- Mr. Almeron EAGER was born in [New] York State, in 1838,
his
- mother died when he was twelve years old, and he lost that
guiding power at an age when a mother's influence is most needed
to mould the character and restrain the waywardness of youth;
in 1854 accompanied by his father he came west and worked on
a farm till 1868. Having saved some money he then started a general
store in this city; he is one of the founders and President of
the Baker Mfg. Co.; was president of the village for three years
and supervisor for six. Mr. EAGER has traveled in every State
in the Union, and has visited nearly every city of any size in
the union.
