"John Donegan"

Richland County, Chapter XXVII, Town of Marshall, Early Settlement
John DONEGAN, an Irishman, came from Illinois in 1854 and entered a tract of land on section
34. After a time he was appointed postmaster of the Buckeye postoffice, he got into trouble, was convicted of robbing the mails and sent to the State penitentiary at Waupun. Upon his release he moved to Janesville.
