- Dr. Simon LORD was born in Maine in 1826, graduating from
the Jefferson Medical College, of
- Philadelphia, and came to Edgerton in 1858. During the Civil
War Dr. LORD served as assistant surgeon of the Thirteenth Wisconsin
infantry, and surgeon of the Thirty-second Wisconsin infantry.
- Dr. LORD was elected to the state assembly in 1879 and to
the state senate in 1882. He died
- February 18, 1893. His son, Dr. James A. LORD, associated
in practice with his father for many years, died December 1,
1900.
