his attention to farming. He has always taken a commendable

assessor, etc. In politics he is a Republican. He is a man
of fine social qualities, a loyal friend and a genial comrade,
and is affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
- Naturally of an inventive and mechanical turn of mind, he
has always taken an interest in electrical
- developments and improvements, and since 1901 has been treasurer
and manager of the Milton and Milton Junction Telephone Company.
He has also been president of the Bank of Milton since 1904.
- In 1900 Mr. WELLS married Miss Marguerite, daughter of William
