- WILLIAM T. HALL, retired; born in Maine in 1818; he came
to Wisconsin 1849, and engaged
- in business as lumber dealer in the town of Fulton, Rock
Co.; in 1852, he engaged both in mercantile and farming pursuits;
in 1857 or 1858, removed to the town of Porter, where he managed
a farm until 1865; then removed to Michigan and engaged in pine-wood
and lumber business, which he closed out in 1871, and returned
to Rock Co., Wis., and, in the years 1872 and 1873, he conducted
a wholesale tobacco business; in the latter year, retired from
all active business. Mr. HALL married, in Fulton, Me., in 1843,
Miss Sarah A. WHITAKER, of Massachusetts; has two daughters.
