- ROBERT TAYLOR, farmer, Sec. 17; P.O. Brodhead; was born in
Scotland in 1805; came to
- Wisconsin in 1844, and was the second settler in the town.
Married in Scotland in 1831; his wife is a native of Scotland;
they have five children living; lost two - Robert, who enlisted
in 1861 in the 13th Wis. V.I., Co. G, and died in Paducah, Ky.,
from sickness contracted in the service, and Archibald, who enlisted
in California and also died in the service. Mr. TAYLOR owns 461
acres of land.
