"Nelson Taylor"

NELSON TAYLOR, dealer in leaf tobacco, and cigar manufacturer, Edgerton; born in Owego,
Tioga Co., N.Y., May 6, 1837; son of Robert E. and Priscilla NELSON; they came to Wisconsin in 1846 and settled in Fulton Township, Sec. 27. Mr. Robert grew his first crop of tobacco twenty-four years ago; he died April 3, 1866, aged 58 years and 6 months; his wife died Dec. 2, 1876, aged 62 years, 1 month and 6 days, and was buried in Fulton in the family burying-ground. Nelson TAYLOR married, May 22, 1861, Lydia H. KIDDER, daughter of Joseph P. KIDDER; have one child - Arthur Nelson, born Dec. 12, 1867. Member of the Masonic Lodge, No. 69; was Town Treasurer from 1873 to 1874, and again from 1875 to 1876; is in the manufacture of cigars; firm is known as ROWE & TAYLOR; three years ago, started in the leaf tobacco business, and cultivates thirty acres under the same weed.
