- RICHARD R. BROWN, commission merchant, Edgerton; born in
Queensbury, Warren Co.,
- N.Y., June 1, 1831; son of Schuyler and Lydia (SIMPSON),
who came to Wisconsin and settled at Albion, Dane Co., in 1845;
their family consisted of seven boys and one girl. R. R., the
youngest of the family, started in business for himself at a
very early age; for the past thirteen years, has been engaged
in the lumber trade, and in live stock for eighteen years, which
trade he is now engaged in for a Milwaukee firm. Married, January,
31, 1858, Miss Mary CHILDS, daughter of Penuel and Mary H., of
Brandon, Rutland Co., Vt.; had four children - Penuel C., Wallace
S., Mary G. and George R. Liberal in religion; family attends
the M. E. Church. Republican. Served three years as Town Treasurer.
