- CLARK NYE, farmer, Sec. 21; P.O. Beloit born in Otsego Co.,
N.Y., 1803; he lived in
- Herkimer Co., N.Y., for fourteen years, and in 1846, came
to Beloit; he bought 120 acres of land in Section 21; he built
a residence and made all improvements; he afterward bought 84
acres more of timber and pasture land. He married in Frankfort,
Herkimer Co., N.Y., in 1828, Naby MORGAN, of Oneida Co.; they
have seven children now living; two of his sons, William and
Charles, own land in this same section, and are farming; the
other two sons are in Kansas in mercantile business; one daughter
is at home, the others are married.
