- FRANK E. FELLOWS, proprietor of Janesville Business College
and Institute of Penmanship,
- established in June, 1866, being the first institution of
this character that was located here. The session opens Sept.
1, and continues to May 1, of each year. The school is conducted
on the scholarship and partial-course plans. Full course entitles
the pupil to all branches taught in the institution. Partial
course comprises penmanship, English, branches, higher mathematics,
etc.; in the theory department, all common English branches are
taught. In the commercial department, commercial law and higher
mathematics, etc. The educational facilities of this establishment
are unexcelled, and a most thorough course of instruction is
imparted to the scholar, in whatever department he may enter.
