- G. W. SPARKS, book-keeper Eclipse Wind Mill Co.; was born
in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March
- 14, 1848, and came to Wisconsin on March 2, 1874, locating
at Beloit; in Cincinnati he engaged in the dry-goods business
as clerk, and about the year 1865, he went to Chicago, and was
connected with the dry-goods house of J. V. Farwell & Co.,
as clerk in the wholesale department; from Chicago he came to
Beloit to take charge of the books of the Eclipse Wind Mill Co.,
which position he now holds. Mr. SPARKS married on May 24, 1874,
Julia BECKER, of Chicago; he has two children living - Laura
Verne and Nellie. Mr. and Mrs. SPARKS are members of the First
Congregational Church at Beloit.
