- J. H. GATELEY, foreman in foundry of the Eclipse Wind-Mill
Co.; was born in county of
- Middlesex, Canada, Feb. 14, 1847, and came to Wisconsin August
17, 1869, locating at Beloit; Mr. GATELEY received his early
education in Canada and learned the machinist's trade there;
from Canada he removed to Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked at
his trade; from there he came to Beloit, and was employed at
the Gaston Scale Works, and afterward with the Eclipse Wind-Mill
Co., and now holds the position of foreman of the foundry department.
Mr. GATELEY married, November 25, 1871, M. E. CUNNINGHAM, of
Beloit; he has five children living - Nellie, Bessie, Annie,
Minnie and a little one not yet named. Mr. and Mrs. GATELEY
are members of St. Thomas' Catholic Church.
