- DAVID YOUMANS, farmer, Sec. 30; P.O. Janesville; came to
Wisconsin in 1850, and settled
- in Center Township lived there four years; purchased present
homestead of seventy-one acres from Mr. O. CLELLAND, four years
ago; born in Orange Co., N.Y., in 1839. Married Miss Nancy THORBURN,
daughter of George THORBURN, of Janesville, on Dec. 31, 1874;
have two children - George C. and Ella; is Treasurer of School
Board at present; raises grain, corn and stock for Chicago markets.
