- THOMAS KAHOE, farmer, Sec. 8; P.O. Janesville; born in County
Meath, Ireland, in
- February, 1829; came to Janesville, where he was employed
by Timothy JACKMAN in a flouring mill; in September, 1854, he
went to Fond du Lac, Wis., where he engaged in a lucrative employment;
remained a few years; went to Nashville, Tenn., for a short time;
came to Woodstock, Ill., where he was engaged till 1860; then
returned to Rock Co., and engaged at farming in Harmony Township,
where he has since lived. Married, in Janesville, in August,
1861, Miss Anna DUNNIGAN, who was born in County Meath, Ireland;
they have had seven children; six are living - Katie A., Bartholomew,
Lawrence, Nicholas, James and Thomas. Mr. KAHOE owns fifty acres
of land, on which they live. Members of the Janesville Catholic
Church.
