"James C. Cook"

JAMES C. COOK, station agent C & N.W. R.R., Footville Depot; P.O. Footville; born Nov.
26, 1853, in Plymouth Township, Rock Co., Wis., and lived with his parents on the farm till 1868, then worked for Mr. EDGERTON. In 1869, was appointed station clerk, and in 1871, station agent at Footville depot; also American Express agent. He owns a large warehouse, in which he stores grain for shipment to market. He also buys live stock for the same purpose, and deals in lumber. He owns sixty acres of land in Secs. 3 and 5, of which he rents forty acres, and reserves the other twenty for pasture for his horses and stock. Married Miss Mary H. PARMLEY, of Center Township, Sept. 14, 1873, and has one child - Jessie, born July 12, 1877. They are members of the Disciples' Church.
