- GEORGE BALLARD, farmer, Sec. 24; P.O. Evansville; born in
New York, Dec. 10, 1819;
- emigrated to Wisconsin in 1850, landing at Racine in June.
In 1853, he located in Union Township, Rock Co., where he engaged
in farming; owns the farm on which he now resides. He married
in New York, Oct. 10, 1843, Miss Jane FRANCISCO, a native of
New York. They have two children living.
