- GEORGE SCOFIELD, farmer, Section 17; P.O. Fulton Center;
born in Saratoga Co., N.Y., in
- 1844; son of Edwin SCOFIELD, who came to Wisconsin in 1846,
and located in Rock Co.; Mr. Edwin S., born in 1806, is still
living; George S. owns 160 acres; raises general products of
the country and tobacco. Married Sarah E. HURD, daughter of Silas
HURD, one of the richest farmers in the county; they have seven
children - Meletta, Willis, Clara, Almina, Elmie, Bertha and
Jessie.
