- JACOB FREDENDALL, farmer, Sec. 7; P.O. Janesville; born in
New York in 1811; came to
- Wisconsin in 1865, locating at Indian Ford, where he purchased
a farm of 160 acres, remaining ten years; he then sold to his
two sons and moved to La Prairie, where he purchased a small
farm, making a specialty of raising tobacco. Married, in 1833,
Miss Catherine BORST, a native of New York, who died in 1853;
they had six children, one girl died. He married again, in 1857,
Miss Sophia PICKARD, a native of New York; have one boy - Chauncey,
born in 1858; Democrat.
