- CHARLES E. CARY, dealer in agricultural implements; Milton
Junction; born in Springville, Erie
- Co., N.Y., March 15, 1838; son of Thomas H. and Hannah (MOLTON).
His father, Thomas H., was born Aug. 15, 1802, and is still living;
his mother is dead. Charles E. came West in 1863; was engaged
in traveling salesman six years. In 1869, settled in Old Milton,
starting a general store; moved to Milton Junction, in 1875,
commencing the business he is now engaged in. Married Matilda
HADLEY, Dec. 1, 1862, daughter of Wilder HADLEY, born at East
Ashwood, N.Y., who died in 1863, leaving one child - Nellie May.
He married present wife, Emma H. HAMILTON, daughter of Samuel
HAMLITON, of Milton. Liberal and Republican.
