- JOHN McFARLAN (deceased); born in Perthshire, Scotland, in
1796; came to Wisconsin in
- 1845, locating at Johnstown, where he purchased a farm of
300 acres, and resided till the time of his death, September,
1873. Married, in 1861, Miss Elizabeth PATTISON, a native of
Scotland. They have two children - Jane, born in 1862; Maggie,
born in 1864. Mr. McFARLAN, during his life, was considered
a very successful farmer, and held the office of Justice of the
Peace a number of years; was also a member of the School Board.
