- JOHN JAMIESON, farmer, Secs. 3, 17, 31 and 32; P.O. Emerald
Grove; born in Scotland in
- 1824; came to Wisconsin in 1842, locating at Whitewater;
after a short time, he moved to Lima, remaining two years, when
he went to Scotland, returning in 1848 with his family. In 1849,
he again located at Lima, remaining till 1864 when he went to
Walworth Co., and purchased a farm, where he lived for about
one year. In 1865, moved to Johnstown, and purchased his present
farm of 190 acres. He makes a specialty of stock and grain.
Married, in 1853, Miss Eveline WILKINS, a native of St. Lawrence
Co., N.Y. Has thirteen children, five boys and eight girls;
one boy and two girls dead. Mr. JAMIESON was Assessor in Lima
for a number of years; Republican.
