"Thomas Godfrey"

THOMAS GODFREY, farmer, Sec. 17; P.O. Lima Center, born in County Londonderry,
Ireland, 1813; is of Scotch and English descent. He came to American and landed at New York with his wife and mother, in June, 1840; remained two years in Orleans Co., N.Y., and came to Rock Co.; remained on Sec. 7 from 1842 until 1865; then located on the farm he now owns of 220 acres; married Miss Elizabeth J. SIMPSON in 1837; they have five children living - John, Nancy, Samuel, David and Thomas. He is a Republican, and the family are members of the Lima Presbyterian Church. Mr. and Mrs. GODFREY are now enjoying a peaceful old age, while their children are settled in homes of their own in Rock County.
