Magnolia, Center, Spring Valley, Plymouth, Avon, Newark, Beloit,
the village of Evansville, and the Third and Fourth wards of
the city of Beloit. Population in 1890--14, 587.

- EDWARD F. HANSEN (Rep.) was born October 7, 1880, in Beloit.
He was educated in the public schools of Beloit, and is by trade
a machinist, but has been employed since January 1, 1892, as
secretary and treasurer of the Beloit savings bank. Was city
treasurer in 1885, 1886 and 1887, and has been city clerk since
1888, and treasurer of the Beloit city school district since
1889. He was elected to the assembly in 1894, receiving 2, 456
votes against R. M. Richmond, democrat, who received 786, W.
H. Doolittle, prohibition, 171, and W. J. Beals, populist, 67.
