- HENRY RIECHERS, farmer; P.O. Afton; born in Hanover, Germany,
in 1834; came to America
- in 1849, and settled in New York City, where he was engaged
in the grocery business twenty-nine years; came to Rock Co.,
in 1878, and located on the farm he now owns of 160 acres. Married
Miss Elizabeth WEBER, of New York City, in 1862; they have two
children - Frederic H., born in 1863, and Susan M., born in 1865.
Mr. R. is a Master Mason and a Democrat. His family attend the
Lutheran Church. He raises corn, wheat, rye, oats, hay, etc.
