Janesville; born in
- Canterbury, England, in 1825; came to the United States in
1828 or 1830, and to Wisconsin in 1842, and went to Pennsylvania
in 1843; returned to Janesville in 1847; settled on his present
homestead in 1857. He and his partner built the residence of
A. PALMER, the McKEY's Block and the old Baptist Church in Janesville;
his farm contains 124 acres, on which he raises the usual products
of the county; he is, besides, a very successful breeder of good
horses. Liberal in politics and religion.
