- PHILIP PALMER, farmer and miller, Sec.27; P.O. Afton; born
Oct. 29, 1814, in Wayne Co.,
- N.Y.; came to Wisconsin in 1857; lived in Walworth Co. three
years and moved to Rock Co. in 1860. Married Miss Lucinda, daughter
of William and Anna POTTER, of Wayne Co., N.Y., in 1836. They
have six children - Evaline A., Caroline E. (died in 1842), Garafelia
A., Harriet E. (died in 1849), Hiram P. and George H. He owns
110 acres six miles south of Janesville, where he raises a good
grade of stock, etc. He was elected a Justice of the Peace in
1875; was a member and one of the organizers of the Rock River
Grange. He and family are members of the Baptist Church in Afton.
