- CHARLES HAMBITZER, dealer in pianos, organs, sheet music
and musical merchandise,
- Allen's Block, School street; was born on the 24th of April,
1855, in Milwaukee. From Milwaukee he removed to Chicago, where
he went to school, and shortly after went back to Milwaukee and
studied music; from Milwaukee to Green Bay, where he also studied
music, and from Green Bay came to Beloit about the middle of
November, 1876, and for two years was engaged in teaching vocal
and instrumental music with good success. By his own exertions
he saved enough to start the general musical merchandise business
on School street, where he has a well selected stock of musical
instruments and sheet music. Married, Dec. 2, 1876, Julia PLOURDE;
has one child - Charles.
