- REV. N. G. GOODHUE, Johnstown Center; born in Essex Co.,
Mass, Aug. 17, 1820; son of
- Thomas and Hannah GOODHUE; he came to Racine Co., Wis., in
1841, and lived there one year; removed to Jefferson Co., where
he resided as minister of the Congregational Church a number
of years; then in Oconomowoc about five years, returning to Oakland,
Jefferson Co., and remained until 1854; then resided in Sauk
Co., Wis., two years; returned in 1857, to his native State,
and resided there and in New Hampshire about eight years, engaged
as a preacher of the Gospel; returning to Wisconsin, he resided
in Koshkonong until 1868, when he settled in the town of Johnstown,
where he has retired from his labors. He married Miss Lucinda
A. OSBORN, of Oconomowoc, March 6, 1845; they have three living
children - Mary J., William E. and Leigh R. Mr. GOODHUE is a
Republican, and is Justice of the peace of the town of Johnstown.
With his wife, he is a stanch member of the Congregational Church;
united with it in 1839, in Newburyport, Mass. He was ordained
in Jefferson co., Wis. in 1843.
