- NEWCOMB KIMBLE, farmer, Sec. 5; P.O. Whitewater, Walworth
Co., Wis; born in Pike Co.,
- Penn., in 1815; son of William and Irena KIMBLE; he struck
out for himself in 1840, and settled on the farm he now owns,
of 240 acres. Married Miss Eliza KILLAM, daughter of Ira and
Harriet KILLAM, in 1842; they have six children - Warren, Rankin,
Rice, Charles, Emma and Grace; Ralph died January, 1861. Mr.
K. is a Democrat; the family attend the Universalist Church.
He was Postmaster of the old Lima Post Office (since discontinued),
and was one of the pioneers of Rock Co., who made his choice
of a farm, and, remaining up it, has made a good home. Two of
his children remain with him, and the others are settled, with
good prospects.
