Myth:

Some claim that there are no records therefore no one knows the real number of deaths at Waverly

Reality:

The actual medical records have not been found as of yet. Maybe they were lost for good, but they are likely buried in some archive and forgotten about. This however does not mean that there are no records to go by. As you have seen there are death certificates for the entire state of KY and maintained by the state covering the time frame from 1911 – 1953. The rest will eventually be available as well but are not at this time. There are also reports from the medical staff at Waverly Hills as well as statistical data from newspaper articles and other sources.

All of this data that has been recovered thus far supports each other as well as supporting the 6,000 deaths estimates.
