By Virtue of a Warrant. Dated at Philadelphia on the 18th Day of April, Anno - 1747, granted to Philip Waugheman. The above described Tract of Land, Situate in Heidlebergh Township in the County of Northampton and Province of Pennsylvania. Containing one hundred and fifty four Acres and 64 Perches of Land, together with the usual Allowance at Six per Cent for Roads, was Surveyed for Leonard Wassem on the 20th Day of March Anno, 1758. By order of Mr. William Parsons, Esquire, David Shultze.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, {L.S.} Snowberry, To all to whom these Presents shall Come, Greeting: Know you, that in consideration of the money paid by Philip Waugheman, at the granting of the Warrant hereinafter mentioned, and of the sum of Two hundred and eighteen dollars and seventy five cents, in full of arrearages and fees, now paid by Elias Snyder and the other owners, into the Treasury Office of the Commonwealth, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Elias Snyder, Charles Follwiler, Jonas Bittner, Abraham Peter, and Joseph Rauch & Co., a certain Tract of land situate in Heidelberg Township, Lehigh County: Beginning at a hickory sapling, thence by land of Michael Totterer, South seventy five degrees West, one hundred and ten perches to a hickory sapling; thence by land of Frederick Shneider, West seventeen perches to a post, North thirty five degrees West, sixty five perches to a stone; South seventy degrees West, fifteen perches to a post, Noth seventy degrees West, fifty perches to a post; thence by land of John Lapp, North five degrees East, thirty four perches to a black oak sapling; North thirty five degrees West, thrty two perches to a post, then by other land, North sixty degrees East, thirty seven and one half perches to a post, South seventy degrees East, ninety perches to a post, North ten degrees East, sixty perches to a post, North fifty five degrees East, sixty perches to a stone; thence by land of Paul Anthony Smith, thirty five degrees east, twenty seven and one half perches to a stone, and thence by Mannor Land, South twenty six degrees East, one hundred and sixty two perches to the beginning: Containing one hundred and fifty four acres, sixty four perches, and allowance. Which said tract was surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant, dated the eighteenth day of April, A.D. 1747, granted to the said Philip Waugheman, whose right in and to the same has since become vested in the said Elias Snyder, Charles Follwiler, Jonas Bittner, Abraham Peter, and Joseph Rauch & Co.

To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with the appurtenances, unto the said Elias Snyder, Charles Follwiler, Jonas Bittner, Abraham Peter, and Joseph Rauch & Co., and their heirs, to the use of them and the said Elias Snyder and the others, aforesaid, their heirs and assigns, forever agreeably to their respective rights and interests.

Free and Clear of all restrictions and reservations, as to Mines, Royalties, Quit-Rents, or otherwise, excepting and reserving only the fifth part of all Gold and Silver Ore, for the use of the Commonwealth, to be delivered at the Pit's Mouth, clear of all charges.

In witness whereof, John W. Geary, Governor of the said Commonwealth, hath hereto set his HAND, and the SEAL of the office of the Surveyor General of Pennsylvania hath been hereunto affixed, the fifteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two and of the Commonwealth the ninety-sixth....... Warrant #66

April 18, 1744 (Cover Sheet Date), Bucks County, 75 Acres, Phlip Waugheman, Patented June 16, 1872 to Elias Snyder et al.... H 71 - 363

Whereas Philip Waugheman, of the County of Bucks, hath requested that we grant him ------ seventy five Acres of land adjoining Frederick Snyder and the Mannor Land near the Blue Mountain, said County of Bucks, for which he agrees to pay our ____ at the rate of Fifteen Pounds, Ten Shillings, current Money of this Province, for one hundred Acres and, the years Quit-Rent of one Halfpenny Sterling for every Acres thereof: thence, are therefore to authorize and require you to survey or cause to be survey'd unto the said Philip Waugheman at the Place aforesaid, according to the Method of Townships appointed, the said Quantity of seventy five acres, if not already survey'd or appropriated, and make Return thereof into the Secretaries Office, in Order, for further confirmation, for which this shall be your sufficient Warrant, which survey in case the said Philip Waugheman, fulfil the above agreement within Six (?) months from the Date hereof, shall be valid, otherwise void. Given, under my hand and seal of the Land Office, by Virtue of certain Powers from the said Proprietaries, at Philadelphia, this eighteenth day of April, Anno Dom. 1747.
