Peter Wageman's estate record is pretty sparse. The main item of interest
that it contains is a "Petition for {Part. & Val.} of Peter Wageman".
It was
entered into the court records on 11/5/1799. The document was a petition
submitted to the court by Peter's son John Wageman (signed Johannes).
The
petition is asking the court to determine if Peter's real estate can
be
partitioned equally among his surviving children. The petition states
"That
Your petitioners said Father lately died Intestate leaving a widow
to wit.
Barbara J. {?} seven children to wit. your petitioner, Catharine wife
of
Philip Benekoff, Barbara wife of David Kunkle, {Eva} wife of John Jacob
Jenser, Magdelena wife of Benjamin {Dory}, Susana, Elizabeth, the two
last
{of whence} are still in their minority..." The petition then goes
on to
describe the location of the real estate that Peter owned in Albany
township
and lists the names of the neighbors whose land bounded his.
