My gr-gr-grandmother was Hanna Miranda Waggaman,
b 17 Nov 1834, probably in Vermilion Co., IL;
d. 3 Apr 1906, in Pawnee Co., OK
m,  John James Moss
2 Feb 1858, Vermilion Co., IL;
 

Hanna was the 3rd child of Andrew Waggaman and Tabitha Lyon;
other children were Samuel, Ben, Franklin, Roseanna (or Roxana), Clarissa Jane, Martha, Charles, Harriet E., Isabel. All were born between abt.1824 and abt. 1850,
Probably all in Vermilion Co., IL.

Census of 1850 and 1860 both show  North Carolina as the birthplace
 Andrew Waggaman, born abt 1801;
married Tabitha Lyon 26 Jul 1823 in Edgar Co., IL (2nd marriage in the county),
before the formation of Vermilion Co., IL;
died 26 Jul 1873 (50th wedding anniversary) in Elwood twp., Vermilion Co., IL.

I have a copy of the "Wagamans and their Allied
Families," 1983, by Rev. Thomas Clarke Edwards, but there
are no Andrews in it, NC or otherwise.  There are references
there to VA and/or MD families.

If anyone has any information about my Andrew, I would be
most happy to hear about it.
