This is the home built by my GG Grandfather, Dr. James Latta Rowan in 1841. The house is still standing (2002; photo taken 1994) on Cincinnati Dayton Rd, in what is now Sharonville OH. The original address was Pisgah, and it is in Butler County. The house has only been owned by 3 families since it was built. It is now called the Elle Farm. There is a health food store in the barn. I didn't get to see the inside, but a man who had seen it said it was beautiful, with 18 inch walls, and wonderful woodwork. It is brick, painted white. The owner at the time I visited, Howard Elle, said that it was built by the same builder who built many of the city buildings in Cincinnati. The owner is now listed as Robert Elle.
