These two houses hold many memories for our family. I’ll introduce each home in turn, and then a wonderful, poignant anecdote for each.

And then, I’ll have an update (as of 2009) on two Wheeler women, mother and daughter, central personages for this account, who remain in the shadows, however I try to throw light on them: Grandma Hannah Ashby Wheeler, and Aunt Clarissa Caroline Wheeler.
