In this document,1 undated, an
overlapping group of citizens of Acton promises to be on call
at “a minutes warning,” without actually referring
to itself as a Minute Company.
Once again, the name of “Oliver Wheeler, Junior”
appears in the upper-middle portion of the first column.
Capt. Joseph Robbins’ East Company was one of three Acton
companies of militia that took part in the action of the 19th
of April, 1775 at the North Bridge in Concord. Capt. Simon
Hunt commanded the West Company, and the third was under the
command of the martyr Capt. Isaac Davis.
