| According to Lapham,1 our 6GGF Nathan Munroe a “… son of the first Joseph married Mercy Benjamin in 1738 and built his house in what is now [ca. 1970] Mrs. Towle’s orchard on Westford Street. The cellar hole has been filled in, but the late George Wilkins, a neighbor, told me that he remembered having seen it as a boy. Nathan was a Minuteman.” |

was established in 1780, Grandpa Nathan was listed among its founding officers.
This is Towle Field, part of the Towle Conservation Land across Westford Street to the south of the Munroe homesteads. |
