Her name was Martha "Patsy" SMITH. The daughter of John Wesley & Martha DALE SMITH.
Martha DALE was the daughter of Arter DALE of the Indian boy legend. It is my belief that Grandmaw Castle is very much a Melungeon. The question I have had, and now takes on more interest, is from where did her Melungeon ancestory come. It could be another parent but I strongly think it came from her grandfather Arter DALE.
