UK map Area map Local map       At this website, see the villages"from the air" at different scales: an outstanding feature is the map overlay button which displays an area of the real map that can be slid over the aerial view to identify individual features (most useful at 25000 scale).       Parish Locator   Use this excellent small freeware program to locate almost any place in Britain, provided it is a parish. See its position on an outline of Britain; list places in the surrounding area or all places in the county, and get them plotted on a simple map; calculate distances and directions between any two places.
