JIM DAVINER: ARTIST
LIGHTHOUSE PAINTINGS

We are very fortunate to have the privilege of publishing scans of the work of Jim Daviner. Although we could have put the individual lighthouses on their own pages--or on an already established page by one of our visiting photographers--we admire Jim's work so much that we want to devote as much space as possible to these lovely paintings. You can see more of Jim's work on his own site--there are other lighthouses there, but he has painted other themes as well. A number of his paintings appear on the Harnett House map publishers' Lighthouse Locator.

About the Artist

Jim Daviner has been painting since 1954. A self taught artist, he successfully blends techniques ranging from expressionism to modern representationalism in his work. He is a keen observer, using his brush to capture observations in a palette of exciting color and exacting compositions. Jim is a monthly contributor of wildlife art to the magazine, Fur-Fish-Game.
