It
was in October 1895 that Eugenia Duffy, and her five children left
San Pablo and travelled to San Quentin to be with her husband,
William Duffy, who had preceded her. Transportation, then, was quite
different than it is today. This was her trip:
San
Pablo to Oakland by train.
Ferry
from Oakland to San Francisco.
Ferry
from San Francisco to Tiburon.
Train
from Tiburon to Greenbrae.
Horse
drawn stage from Greenbrae to San Quentin.
Todays
travel isn't that bad after all!
