And that is what the senior class of the high school did yesterday. It was truly a happy and excited bunch of boys and girls who gathered at the school about 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon with the soul purpose in view of having a good time in the great out-of-doors. There were 65 students and five chaperons. Mesdames William Boyce, W. C. Beard, Tom Curry, M. E. Morton and W. A. McIntosh, principal of the high school. Frying Pan ranch had been selected by the picnickers, and in cars the trip was made in little or no time. A number brought kodaks and much fun was derived in the taking of pictures, many of which will no doubt appear in due time in “La Airosa.” But best of all was the roasting of sausages and marshmallows over the glowing embers of a camp fire. Buns, donated by J. W. Kollaer, pickles, candy, fruit and all that goes toward making a picnic a success were to be had. Toward the evening the party, tired, but happy, returned to the city feeling capable of undertaking the most arduous of problems after their invigorating influence of their outing. 85
